CAMP Ideas Factory



Australia@BJDW was the inaugural program of Australian design at Beijing Design Week curated by the Australian Embassy Beijing with numerous exhibitions, talks and workshops. CAMP Ideas Factory invited budding entrepreneurs, makers and creators to a challenge on international collaboration culminating in a final pitch for a trip to Sydney to participate in the China Australia Millennial Project.

Vivien lead the design and facilitation of CAMP Ideas Factory hackathon held at The Factory in Dashilar, Beijing. Entrepreneurs, innovators, cultural and creative communities were set the challenge of building new and better ways to create meaningful international collaboration to accelerate innovation. 8 teams pitched amazing new projects conceived within cross-cultural teams in just 8 hours. The winning team Face.it won a place in the China Australia Millennial Project 3 month incubator program.


The judges included Gao Ge, Deputy Director OTEC; Terry Hilsberg, Investor, entrepreneur and mentor; Andrea Myles, CEO CAMP and Ron Zhang, Co-founder MapNext.
